Connecticut Weather

The state of Connecticut is found in the southwest of New England and its location makes Connecticut weather fair throughout the year. There are three things that usually describe Connecticut weather: no rainy season, changes in temperature daily and different averages every year as far as temperatures go, even in the same season. There are several things that affect Connecticut weather. The first one is that the state is mostly hilly. It has the Long Island Sound right to the south, arctic weather can reach the area and fronts that come all the way from the Gulf of Mexico still reach Connecticut.

The weather that you find in Connecticut is pretty similar to what you would see in the much larger state of Massachusetts. The highest elevations in Connecticut are found in the northwest side of the state and they can reach 2,000 feet. The eastern side of the state only sees elevations as high as 1,000 feet.
